Kallergi Mountain Refuge is located on the western region of Crete, above the plateau of Omalos, in the White Mountains (Lefka Ori) mountain range at an altitude of 1680 meter. It is situated in an outstanding area of longest gorge in Europe, named Samaria and crossing paths with .the European E4 trails. The breath taking wilderness of the White Mountains makes for superb walking terrain for numerous day hikes and extended mountaineering. You will find that this close encounter with such wild country, exotic fauna and wild life is a powerful way to put your busy life back in perspective
